Award winning coffee, fresh , local produce in a friendly ,retro atmosphere

Tango Turtle is a funky retro café which opened its’ doors on the 22nd August 2009. It is the combined vision of leading glass artist, Mark Thiele and Nicki Senior, business owner of fashion icon, Funky Finds.

Mark states “ Tango Turtle is very much an art piece that will unfold over time. The business philosophy focuses on using local raw ingredients to produce pure tantalizing tastes . We have created a menu with appeal at an affordable price. Our unique Turtle Burgers, selection of curries, smoothies, fresh juices and great coffee will go down well in this friendly and relaxed environment.”

The retro feel of Tango Turtle is in keeping with the uniqueness of the building. Built in the 1960’s it used to be an old diner attached to a Golden Fleece service station. It was a fill up point for people travelling from Adelaide to Victor Harbour. The diner from the 1960’s has returned in the form of a new funky retro café, Tango Turtle.
