Building & Constructions.\ O\'Mara Constructions is a family company established in 1964, 40 years in the Hawkesbury Area. \" We Build Homes NOT Houses\"\ \ O’Mara Constructions was started by Barry O’Mara in 1964 building small extensions and specific carpentry work. The name O’Mara Constructions was registered on the 18th June 1967. \ \ Over the years O’Mara Constructions has built a wide variety of projects from nearly every type of extension and new homes to Churches, grand stands, fire stations, community halls, podiums, shops and factories. Some of our best projects have been 8 houses for Mirvac Lend Lease Village Consortium for athletes accommodation for the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Richmond Fire Station, Glenmore Park Land Sales office (using random stone construction) and 10 tilt-up concrete factory units at South Windsor.\ \ Barry O’Mara completed many courses and has sat on many different committee’s over the years. Barry was the President of the Master Builder’s Association of NSW from 1987 to 1988. He also graduated with a Masters Degree in Dispute Resolution from the College of Law, University of Technology, Sydney. Barry was also the Department of Fair Trading building disputes referee for the west of Sydney for over 900 Hearings conducted from1991 to 1995 He is a current director of NATSPEC. (The National Building Specifications), a committee that reviews new products to the building industry. Barry is a senior MBA Accredited Building Consultant, with over 40 years building experience. He has been a committee member for many Australian Standards He is currently a Grade 1 Arbitrator and regularly still makes judgments on a wide variety of building disputes in the building industry. Barry is still a current director of O’Mara Constructions. Although Barry does not have an active role in the building company now as he used to he is still very valuable as a consultant for technical on-site problems, contract management, finance and dispute resolution.\ \ Luke O’Mara is the son of Barry and now controls the day to day operations of O’Mara Constructions. Luke completed his Bachelor of Building in Construction Management (with honours) from the University of Technology, Sydney in April 1994\
