I still dabble in some other mediums but often these end up influencing my photography and vice versa. \ \ Getting a Carl Zeiss SLR when I was 21 taught me the old fashioned way. I learned Dark room techniques when at University and won\'t ever forget the magic of watching a blank sheet of paper as the image began to appear. I switched to Minolta film equipment which served me well until the digital revolution. I sadly still have a roll of Velvia 50 in my Minolta. Once I went digital I didn\'t look back. \ \ I embraced the world of digital but switched to Canon as Minolta were slow to bring out a DSLR and when they did it was clunky and didn\'t have the features I wanted. I have used digital for about 9 years now and love Canon. I chose to stop competing my work for the past year as I had begun to look for photographs that would win competions and felt this compromised my artistic views.\ \ I am currently developing my new business on the Far South Coast after moving to a rural property near Bega. The challenges of entering an area with established photographers and being an unknown in the area have enabled me to have some more time for my personal projects. \
