McDivitt Group Architects began as an architectural practice in 1990 and since that time has developed a company with a reputation for cutting edge design with solid, practical planning principles. The company's success has revolved around its' ability to assess the client's needs and aspirations and produce a satisfying product within the constraints of time and budgets. Over the past 16 years a strong client base has been established providing on-going repeat business which has kept the company profitable through fluctuating economic periods. Our methodology when undertaking all projects has been to assist the client to realise the full potential of their corporate plan or personal aspirations whilst providing an opportunity to express the identity of their organization or of the individual. Detailed analysis of operations, storage, delivery, relationships (eg workshop, administration, warehouse, public) and processes are carried our prior to preliminary design and remain the basic structure of the project throughout. Budget, continuing operation, maintenance and running costs, and inbuilt passive environmental controls are also major considerations. The principals of Environmentally Sustainable Design have been at the forefront of our approach to the planning and detailing of all building types. Climatic conditions, prevailing local conditions, site orientation, selection of materials, fittings and construction techniques are all taken into consideration at the initial design phase. We are also ensuring that our knowledge in this rapidly developing area is kept up to date through the continuing education programmes.
