A Naturopath is a primary contact practitioner who is trained to a competent standard in "nature cure" including the practise of Nutrition, Herbal Medicine, Homoeopathy and in some cases, Remedial Therapy. Naturopathy places an emphasis on a preventative approach to healing and treating the cause/s of a disease state which is in contrast to the modern medical approach of simply naming and treating the symptoms by prescribing drugs or performing surgery.
